Lucky Pets in St Michael once again has exceeded our expectations. We recently went on an out-of-country family vacation and dropped our Sophie off for boarding. She developed an overnight case of vertigo and was virtually life less the next morning. Lucky Pets (Sam) rushed her to the emergency vet where she was nursed back to a stable condition. Lucky Pets also made themselves available for any further transportation or care needs during the week. They said this is part of their contract, but the level of care and attention they gave her was second to none and gave us peace of mind while we were gone. Sophie is getting back to normal and we are so Greatful that such a great pet store is near our home that has so much to offer. We are clients for life!! Happy Holidays to our Lucky Pets Family!
What a great place! I brought my newly adopted 2 year old Doc in for the board and train program and it has made a huge difference. The trainers and staff overall are very knowledgeable and great at what they do. Doc can be a very stubborn dog and within the 3 weeks they trained him he started to sit, lay, roll over and stay on command. They also worked with me to show the proper commands and how to handle him properly. I would recommend them very highly to all of my friends and family.
I have also been utilizing them for their daycare and boarding which has been a great experience also. Doc is excited when we get there and so is the staff. You can tell by the way he greets them that he is treated extremely well while in their care.

The self service dog wash is great and they also do a great job of trimming my dog's nails. She is very sensitive about her paws being touched but they've done a great job every time.
My girlfriend and I were nervous to leave our little baby puppy Nova alone for the first time. But I guess she did good with the great staff and she looks great too! Thank you again and we'll see you soon.
First of all, before tonight I had not been to Lucky Pets since our AWESOME groomer left well over a year ago. The only reason I thought to return was to use the self-serve dog wash which was convenient the first time I tried it a few years ago. Since the hours for this service are not listed on the website, I called in the morning to ask about availability. Apparently the retail side of the store was not open yet (I called at 8:25 am) so an employee in the boarding area stated the self-serve wash was available when the retail store opened (9:00 am?) until 7:30 pm. The store closes at 8:00 pm, so the 7:30 deadline must be to allow for the customer to finish their wash prior to the closing time. I arrived at 7:08 pm and did not even make it to the counter with my dog and towel before being "greeted" with the question "Are you here for the self-serve dog wash?" Yes I am. "That closes at 7:00 so you need to be here by then." Oh. I was told by the boarding staff 7:30. "No it's 7:00." Ok...so I guess I will be going somewhere else then. Awkward silence. *Note ~ there were NO other customers in the store, and another employee was finishing mopping the floors so everything was slick/wet and it looked like they were basically closed almost an hour before 8:00 pm. Yes, it was Friday night, so who doesn't want to be done with work I guess?! I felt extremely unwelcome and no effort was made to apologize or accommodate the incorrectly quoted time frame I was given. It was my mistake apparently for being a WHOLE 8 minutes over the arbitrary deadline. Wow. So off I went up the road to the pet wash station at the car wash on 241. Sure it wasn't fancy or comfortable for either of us, but it served the purpose. $5.00 and 7 minutes later I had a clean dog and a bad impression of Lucky Pets.
